Serving Parents in Texas

❤️ Feeling At Your Wits’ End With Your Teen?

Parenting a teenager can feel exhausting — arguments at home, slipping grades at school, pressure from peers, and constant worry about their choices can leave you drained and hopeless. Despite your best efforts, nothing seems to work, and you may feel like you’re out of options. But you’re not alone, and there is support. As a therapist specializing in helping parents navigate these challenges, I provide a safe space to work through the stress and rebuild your confidence.

Together, we can work towards:

  • Calming the daily conflict and frustration.

  • Building healthier communication with your teen.

  • Managing your stress, worry, and exhaustion.

  • Creating realistic strategies for school and peer struggles.

You don’t have to keep struggling to support your teen by yourself. With the right therapist, it’s possible to restore peace at home and rebuild connection with your teen. Are you ready to take the first step?

How Does Teen & Parent Therapy Work?

Happy Couple
Smiling Student

When your teen is struggling — at school, with peers, or at home — it can leave the whole family feeling exhausted and unsure where to turn. Maybe grades are slipping, friendships are stressful, or communication at home feels like one long argument. As a parent, you may be at your wits’ end, wondering if things can ever get better.

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating. You might be asking yourself:

  • What should we even say?

  • How will this help my teen — and me?

  • Can our relationship really improve?

These questions are normal. In therapy, I create a safe, supportive space for your teen to work through challenges, build coping skills, and gain confidence — while also offering you, the parent, guidance and tools to feel less overwhelmed.

My process is simple and collaborative,
helping you and your teen:

  • Improve communication and reduce conflict.

  • Navigate school pressures and peer challenges.

  • Strengthen coping skills for stress and emotions.

  • Rebuild connection and hope within your family.

Even if it feels out of reach right now, re-connection with your teen is possible. With the right support, your teen can thrive — and you can feel more confident and supported as a parent.

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) — this is the gold standard framework I use, especially for my sensitive teen clients struggling with intense emotions. With this approach, you and your child will learn how to regulate your emotions, accept what you’re going through, and feel more safe and secure with yourself.

  • Mindfulness-Based CBT — this is my go-to approach when I’m working with families. This type of therapy focuses on meditative and mindfulness practices, so you can cultivate a lasting inner peace at home.

  • EMDR — this is one of my specialties and a technique I’ve trained in extensively. With my guidance, this technique will help you heal from the past, so it doesn’t have a hold on your present thoughts and emotions anymore.

My Philosophy, Approach, & Style

When it comes to working with a trauma therapist, you want someone who’s qualified to help — not just someone who gets what you’re going through. This is why I’ve spent time training and learning techniques that are effective tools in our sessions together, like:

Hi, I’m Rebekah Yigael!

I specialize in therapy for teens and parents, with a focus on helping families who feel fed up, disconnected, or at their wits’ end. Parenting a teen can be overwhelming — constant conflict, slipping grades, peer pressure, and emotional ups and downs can leave you feeling exhausted and unsure where to turn.

In our work together, I’ll support both you and your teen as you:

  • Calm the conflict and stress at home.

  • Improve communication and rebuild trust.

  • Navigate challenges at school and with peers.

  • Manage stress, worry, and feelings of burnout.

  • Restore a sense of connection and hope within your family.

Through therapy, you’ll gain practical tools to reduce tension, strengthen relationships, and bring more peace back into your home. You don’t have to face this alone — healing and change are possible.
