Trauma Therapy for Pregnancy Struggles
We’re Here When the “Not Yet” Feels Like a “No”
Struggling with fertility can feel isolating and disheartening. Despite your efforts, conception remains elusive, leading to feelings of disappointment and self-doubt. But you're not alone, and there's no need to blame yourself. As a trauma therapist specializing in supporting women through these challenges, I offer a safe space to address your emotions and concerns.
Together, we can work towards:
- Managing stress and anxiety.
- Healing from past traumas.
- Alleviating symptoms of depression.
- Navigating the emotional aftermath of setbacks.
You deserve support and understanding during this difficult time. Let's embark on a journey towards healing and peace, tailored to your needs and pace. Are you ready to take the first step?
How Does Trauma Therapy Work?
Working with a trauma therapist can feel scary and uncertain. You might be wondering…
-
What should I say to her?
-
How will this help?
-
Can trauma therapy really “fix” me?
These are normal questions, especially if it’s your first time working with a therapist. But I want to reassure you that I’m here to hold space for you — so you can feel safe opening up about what you’re going through.
To do this, I created a simple process to help you move through this as smoothly as possible:
1
Assessment Phase
In our initial sessions, we'll delve into your life, experiences, and aspirations. Understanding your journey helps me tailor support to your needs.
2
Observation Phase
Alongside assessment, I'll listen closely, identifying patterns and areas for growth to align with your goals.
3
Action Phase
As we progress, we'll engage in targeted discussions to explore new perspectives and approaches. You'll lead the conversation while I provide guidance towards achieving your desired outcomes. This process aims to empower you to recognize and address challenges, facilitating healing and peace after trauma.
-
Mindfulness-Based CBT — this is my go-to approach when I’m working with my clients. This type of therapy focuses on meditative and mindfulness practices, so you can cultivate a lasting inner peace in your daily life.
-
EMDR — this is one of my specialties and a technique I’ve trained in extensively. With my guidance, this technique will help you process a traumatic past event, so it doesn’t have a hold on your present thoughts and emotions anymore.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) — this is another approach I use a lot, especially when my clients experience intense emotions. With this approach, you’ll learn how to regulate your emotions, accept what you’re going through, and feel more safe and secure with yourself.
-
Gottman Method — this is the perfect technique if you and your spouse are struggling with your relationship. Using this method can help you improve your communication, connection, and intimacy with your partner.
My Philosophy, Approach, & Style
When it comes to working with a trauma therapist, you want someone who’s qualified to help — not just someone who gets what you’re going through. This is why I’ve spent time training and learning techniques that are effective tools in our sessions together, like:
