7. TAILOR-MADE SESSIONS
We work together to identify your goals (e.g. increase strength, improve flexibility, lose weight), and then it's my job to create a personalized program created with you in mind to help you reach those goals. Then, we'll discuss a realistic timeframe in which you'll be able to achieve your goals.
Regardless of whether your goal is weight loss, improved fitness or training for a specific event such as a triathlon, I'll weigh you and take some important measurements, as these will be crucial when recording your achievements.
HVL Health & Wellness Coaches look at the whole picture. This means that as we set goals as a team, there will be a focus on different areas (e.g. physical, nutritional, emotional, social) of your life in order to help you reach your goals and improve your life as a whole!

We know that Health & Wellness Coaching is more than just going through the motions. It's about being fully present during each session in order to effectively observe and give feedback to our clients in order for them to improve their technique and maximize results. We promise to challenge you and make it fun, all the while keeping your goals front and center.
It's my job to keep you moving towards your goal, even when you're less than enthusiastic about it (as in your whole body is telling you to get out of that plank ASAP!).
We merge the grit and science of a trainer with the strategic nature of a coach to ensure successful results.
5. WE PUT OUR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS TO USE
HVL knows how important clear communication is both during and in between sessions. As Health & Wellness Coaches, we must assess, discuss, educate and empower our clients as they improve their fitness, strength and/or physique. Without the skill and enthusiasm to listen deeply and communicate effectively, none of this takes place. We commit to clearly explaining the workouts and exercises as well as ensuring that you're safe and on the same page in knowing why we're doing what we're doing. We're here with you and want to hear from you! It's on us to make sure that we take any feedback (verbal and nonverbal) you might have for us and use it to guide future sessions, as well as make sure that we promote and teach proper form. Rest easy knowing that flexibility and creativity is at the forefront of our minds when structuring sessions.
4. WE TRACK YOUR PROGRESS ALONG THE WAY
It’s not all about the journey. We know that at the end of the day, getting the results you desire is what it's all about. It's not only the coach's responsibility to record and monitor the overall health, weight, fitness, and strength of their clients, but also to continuously evolve from session to session. HVL coaches frequently adjust programs in order to keep clients challenged and ensure that they are moving forward towards their goals.

We take this one seriously. We vigilantly utilize discipline and creativity within our own lives in order to maintain our physical strength and fitness. When we maintain our own physical health and strength, we are more able to support and guide you throughout each and every workout.

In addition to wearing quality training attire to each session, Health & Wellness Coaches are also expected to carry each session in a professional and caring manner.
